Thinner Wisdom Nutrition Counseling

A program designed to treat health and weight management issues
based on sound nutrition science and the healing power of self awareness.

It's no wonder our eating habits have gone haywire!

We live today in a culture where two out of every three adults are overweight or obese. And childhood obesity has reached epidemic proportions.

As evidence confirming the link between weight management and well being continues to mount, we are bombarded daily by conflicting messages in a media storm of wafer-thin runway models, double bacon cheeseburgers, and quick weight loss schemes.

  Huge Portions!

The answers lie within.

The truth is, most of us already know that diet, exercise and stress management are crucial to maintaining good health. Our complex, time stressed daily routines often allow little space for our best intentions.

Fortunately, each of us has within ourselves a source of tremendous healing power. ...A power that can be used to help us gain self-awareness to overcome the obstacles to wellness and health promotion. That transformative power is our essence. It is our consciousness, our interior life, our inner frontier, our "spirit" if you will. It is the life of the spirit within each of us that incorporates our capacity for intention, compassion, self-forgiveness. It is that essence which brings balance to our self-care behaviors.

Although western science has until recently ignored matters of faith in health and healing, the mind, body and spirit connection is gaining in credibility. In hospital trials across the nation, spirituality in patient care, and the health of the spirit, are proving to be important factors in recovery rates, immune function, alleviation of depression, and other symptoms both mental and physical.
